This ant is heading to Mexico for the winter. :) I was looking through my reserves for something to post and came across this. I had never seen the ant before!

Are we thinking spring yet?.
And looks as though we have a stowaway Loris LOL. I am so glad you found and posted this. It's such a welcome sight to see a reminder that Spring is just around the corner. The light play is just wonderful and is so pretty emphasizing the butterfly and his little friend. What a great post this is. Thanks Loris.

Absolutely gorgeous! This is a lovely capture of a Monarch. The detail and sharpness is breathtaking. The light displayed over the leaves is so natural and warm... And the ant is pretty sweet too! Thanks for posting this one, you've got an excellent eye for capturing the beauty of nature. Ashley

I have to agree with all above. The lighting is so perfect here that it looks as if the Monarch's wings are made of stained glass...very pretty.

This is a Viceroy not a Monarch (seriously). Notice the straight line across the back wing. Monarchs don't have that. More Info.
