Hi Crystal, I like the muted lighting for this but maybe it's a bit "too" muted. :) If you look at THIS TUTORIAL it will explain, and illustrate, one very simple way to lift all sorts of images.

The petals seem to have a greenish tone. I think the shot would be nicely enhanced with some color adjustment to get a truer yellow. This beautiful blossom is certainly worth the effort.
