This is a picture I took at Mount Rushmore when I was there this last semester. A natural phenomenon was occuring. The rocks were crying. I took this picture, added the flag to it, and messed with the color/contrast a bit. I also have one in which I incorporated the Ten commandments, but my program wasn't quite good enough to make that look right. TAKE A LOOK AT THE SPEECH THAT GOES ALONG WITH THIS, JUST BELOW IN THE COMMENTS BOX. God bless America!

Do you remember the tears? Do you remember the blood and the agony. It was as if a child were being born, for the pain and travail that was gone through.

And through those tears, through the screams and the blood, a nation was born. A nation like no other. A nation who's very heart beat for the downtrodden, a nation who's very breath was caught on the tradewinds and brought a scent of hope to other nations that had long been without it. A nation who's hands reach out, with these words on its lips.

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free. I lift my lamp beside the golden shore."

And it is for this we cry. We cry, as our brothers cried. Though they fought and bled and died beside us, it is we who are remembered. We are remembered because they lift us up upon their shoulders to be remembered, because they gave more than any living man can ever say he gave.

We cry for them. We cry, so that they might be remembered.

Remember them, and cry for them. Thank God for them. Thank God for America.

Interesting idea, but I feel your added elements are competing focal points and not too complimentary to the overall idea, perhaps the version with the commandments would tie the picture together more. I like the original photo.

The picture would make a good poster, but your flag is a bit heavy on the right side, and perhaps a shift in location would be a little better for the effect. It almost seems, incomplete.

What a cool picture, I am always fascinated by Mt. Rushmore. And I like your theme, very ingenious of you. I took a similar one on Prestidents day many years ago while there. http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Infopage&image=Gergie-1171954758.jpg
