Took this while I was working at Bible camp one summer. Just having my devotions and thought, this might look cool in this lighting. Then I made it Sepia, then messed with it so it looks like there's more light on the focus verse. The ultimate truth, God's Word. The Bible! (kjv)

First great post, good photo. Maybe I would love it even more with not the dark part but framed in for ex. black. And than the letters for a part like you did in focus (the part that has to be read more sharp and the rest less sharp). Very good photography! Mich

ohh this is a great idea and a nice composition indeed. The light that comes from the right part seems that it`s from a candle, so the athmosphere it`s very special :).

Sweet composition here, it is hard to decribe but it works perfect and the primary light does a good job at moving the eye into the correct reading area. However I will say I think the verse was over highlighted and kind of forces the eye to read it and this distracts the viewer from the overall photo and softness of the photo.

I am going to clean out my Caedes portfolio a bit per-caedes input system. If you see an image you like and it is not on here give me a holler.
I very much like the way that you set this shot up, with the dramatic lighting and excellent focus. The only thing I would recommend is that you use an actual light source to highlight the specific verses you want, rather than the post-production highlighting which is very obvious and unnatural to the traditional photo. Very good sense of composition though!

No picture is awesome, they can be cool, neat, and amazing but never awesome. Only God is awesome.
