I took this pic the same time as "Reindeer". There were some fountains nearby in the same shopping center, and my mom was sitting at a table watching the fountains with her hand on her face. I took the pic, cut out the gem, turned it black and white, then pasted the color gem over the black and white pic.
"Do you see any Teletubbies in here? Do you see a slender plastic tag clipped to my shirt with my name printed on it? Do you see a little Asian child with a blank expression on his face sitting outside on a mechanical helicopter that shakes when you put quarters in it? No? Well, that's what you see at a toy store. And you must think you're in a toy store, because you're here shopping for an infant named Jeb."
that was a very clever way of high lighting the beauty of the ring. lovely colour and use of black and white.
thanks for your comments on my cool resting place. appreciate constructive critique. BJP
People may flatter themselves just as much by thinking that their faults are always present to other people's minds, as if they believe that the world is always contemplating their individual charms and virtues.

Love these b&w images with just a little color. Here we have the hand that has some signs of age(that brings wisdom and experience). The lack of color really accentuates these qualities in the subject and then we have the color of the ring. Which shows us the beauty and life of the subject. At least thats what I gather here...this one was done right.
Wow! This is a VERY well done shot, and post-production work is very admirable and well done! I think this is my favorite shot in your gallery! :) Keep it up!
Just wanted you to know that I just voted for your post to go into the caedes art collection. I like the color on b&w. I have done it before myself and enjoy playing with it.
Very nice. The B&W against a single obejct in color is a fairly used idea, so to make it work as it does in this photo is not an easy trick indeed. Well done!
Check out the site "Between Truths", read, learn and pass on. The three steps is all you need to remember to get started. =)
