Lol!! ok I get it. I thought you were inspired by the Valar of Tolkien's Middle Earth. The Valar are Demi-Gods that have power over the land where the Lord of the Rings took place. That's why I ask which one he was. Sorry for the gender confusion. ;)
Cain, this is a nice piece of work...would make a great Flash site background by adding in a few animated lightsprites etc. The only suggestion I have is to make your grid lines a little more subtle by reducing the opacity, also, making them thinner can add mystery.
hurts my right eye can you tone the right side a shad lighter?
i like this style. and the rest of you work. mix more faces or bodies and i like lines.
peace
sr_eivel : yes I knew about valar's tolkien^^... but Valar isn't another name for Avalon? I'm not sure but I think it is^^
DigitalFX : thank you peter^^. yes, it coulb be nice for a flash site, but maybe a little too heavy... thanks for the suggestions, yes the grid are a little harsh^^, will try to think about in the future^^
Ntek : thanks.... and yes I could, but I like it that way... if you really prefer it less bright I could send it to you by e-mail : just tell me the resolution you want....
I love the whole anime effect, the blues and the blacks give the image emotion. Like loneliness, sorrow, and darkness (not really a classified emotion).Very nice!
Not to be annoying, but here is the definition of Avalon in Tolkien's elvish (I supposed that is what you are using): "Avallónë - Haven and city on Tol Eressëa. In the Akallabęth the city is said to be so named because it is "of all cities the nearest to Valinor", but the etymology is not further explained. Cf. the Etymologies, LR:370 stem LONO." This says that Avalon is a city near Valinor, not actually Valinor. I looked it up because I had never heard that the two words were teh same before, so I was wanting to see, and that's what I found.
8/10: Oh, nice picture too :) I love anime style and that is a very kewl image.
