ps7... lol, yeah I know it's an Empty Egg... But well, let's just say that it's the er... left over...
I was not too sure about the text but in the end I let it like that... maybe it's too much... don't know...
This is really cool, and even interesting. What I thought was interesting was that the part of the egg shell that was closest to me was blurred while the part of the egg that was farther away is more sharp. Messes with my depth perception a bit hehe
Excellent monochromatic depiction of the EGG. I like how you can see the thickness of the shell and that skin part that sometimes sticks to the hard-boiled egg.
There are plenty of pictures of whole eggs, this is the first one I've seen of an empty one. The cracking and the membrane are what makes it interresting, that and your lovely light.
One of the most well-known exercises in photography school is to take photos of an egg, with different lights, but not with a broken egg... ;-)
Well done, Lucy.
Brilliant work Lucy. But I guess you know that by now. ^_^ I don't have much to say in addition to the comments above. I really like this as well. Especially the hue is perfect.
The only though that strayed my mind is that I would maybe like to se a version where the one of the top of the small photos got to be the big one to the right. The three small ones could then be placed so the tilting of the egg shell changed from the least to the greatest angle of tilting. (In other words: The big one seems to be perfect to place in a small version between the two lower ones. (Sorry that I can't explain it better.))
Excellent capture and working Lucy :o)
Am loving it loads !!!
Am wondering about the title, gallus - in Scotland that is a slang word for something really good. Apt

Hi Lucy. I like this image a lot, specially the idea of casting a partial eggshell into the brownish monochrome sepia. I also like the lines intersecting and providing a border for the image and separating the visual from the text. Well done.
Hey, just stoppin by to congradulate you on getting so close to winning in the contest. The fact you got recognized obviously shows something =D. Well done.
Einstein's theory of relativity: Grab hold of a hot pan, a second can seem like an hour. Put your hands on a hot woman, an hour can seem like a second. It's all relative.
The text rocks, the picture rocks, the composition rocks. Anhywho, I just finished a series of egg drawings and I thought this was familiar, but refreshing. Great work.
