Just returned from my vacation in the Northeast Georgia Mountains. The Biltmore Estate is in Asheville, NC. Built by the Vanderbilts, it is America's largest private residence. 250 rooms. In addition to the house (if you can call it that!) there are 8000 acres containing a winery, amazing gardens and conservatory, and miles of trails and rivers. Unfortunately, no photography was permitted on the interior.

Been there many a time. It's an amazing tour, especially beautiful at Christmas when your daughter is singing a solo in the main hall! ;) Okay, sorry... mom moment aside, I do wish they'd unlock ALL the doors. There are areas there never seen by the public that REALLY tease me each time I go there! lol. This is a beautiful capture of it Rebecca. Looks like it was a very pretty day and I have no idea how you managed to get this shot without a ton of people in it!!??

In that case, I'm very happy I voted so high. You deserve extra credit for a super editing job too!! No ghosts anywhere. ;)

Thanks again BJ! It took me quite awhile to remove the masses, but I like the look of it so much more without all the tourists :)

Nice shot Rebecca...nice work on removing any people too. I've been there for the Christmas tour and highly recomend it but for my money the summer concert series is when to go. They have concerts (we saw the Indigo Girls) on the veranda just off to the left of your shot.

i want to go there! it looks so beautiful! i think it would be cool to visit, but i wouldnt want to live there. u ever notice how ppl who live in beautiful homes like that take them for granted? they dont see them as beautiful. just a pain in the buns to keep nice. or a statis symbol. not as a beautiful piece of art to be appreciated everytime u look at it. this is a very nice shot. u photoshopped out all the ppl? really?! ur amazing!

Whoa - this could be a USA castle! It would be like living in a luxury hotel. Excellent in all ways> clarity, composition and details. The lawn is rich in color. The architecture is awesome. Super editing removing all those hot tourists! I have a daughter who lives in N.C, so when I visit maybe I can see this beautiful Biltmore Estate. Wonderful work of photography Rebecca :*>
