The Famous 5 are five women who lived in Alberta in the early part of the 20th century. They fought for women's rights and changed the future of all Canadian women to come. In 1999 there was a sculpture of these five ladies erected in Olympic Plaza, Calgary, AB. Pictured here is Nellie Mclung.

hehe, I'm all for that! Nice capture, it's hard to take photos of statues. I would like just a tad more of the statue showing on the bottom but you did an excellent job setting the mood!

Black and white suits this very well and the clarity of the statue is superb. For a desktop I find the very white sky a bit glarey.
(New Zealand women were eligible to stand for Parliament in 1919, after being the first in the world to become enfranchised in 1883)
