This fierce lion (along with a mate) guards one of the entrances to Sien Lok Park, downtown Calgary.

Cool, love the blues in that sky! Though, if I might suggest, this one could also have looked nice if you cropped it in close, like just around the statue or maybe even closer. But this statue is really cool! Nice job.

I can only get it to load in thumbnail, so I can't comment as to deep sapphire's assessment. I can say that I love the blues in the sky and they certainly are a wonderful backdrop for the light and shadow that make up the park guard :)

I don't know if i really agree about the crop suggestion, but i do think there is maybe a bit to much head space. Without being there to see what is under the photo, i would say it could have been improved with the camera tilted down a tad more. But who knows, perhaps there was something big and ugly just out of the frame that is better not in there.
