Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I like the B&W deck, it is hard to tell if the deck is actually that black and white or if it's done with postprocessing but I like how it instills doubt!
Lol'ing a bit on that, and with you ... with you, to be clear here.
Standout elements? Your composition and then adding in the contrasting textures, as well as, the somewhat monochrome colour palette with a gorgeous and very hard to capture pop of red. Really nice work Matt here and indeed this one caught my eye.
Great diagonal lines ... quite a sosphisticated piece Matt. You got a bit of everything in this one ... in a very good good way.
I like it a lot.
No picture taking of bunnies for you, eh? :oP
Small, minor caveat ... the curl of the leaf ends up with some of the detail lost along the leaf's main vein. Would prefer to see a bit more of that area, simply stated ... to balance out where my eyes are being drawn to. The tack sharp focus and clarity of the bottom part of the leaf's edge ... does pull my eyes a bit.
Think that in bringing into more focus the leaf's inner bottom portion of it's main vein/stalk ... would add a little something to it's own great diagonal.
This is a great shot and I thank you for sharing it with us. I do like these kinds of images. Technically; extremely very well done ... minimalistic ... textures present et al.
