This is just beautiful. It looks as if you have used a fish eye lense with the curve of the pool and the mountains. The people give it a great sense of scale.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
Nice use of camera apparatus Matt. Works well with the composition. Or, vice versa.
Good natural colour. Might have been tempted to tone down the blues somewhat in the sky though. Wonderful colour contrast, however ... and being blunt here ... the star of the image, the inkpot itself ... really gets relegated to a minor role.
The incorporation of the couple provides a reference for scale. For me though? Sans people would be my preference.
Feed me more imagery ... please.
And I don't believe it is crooked, as the couple is situated quite well horizontally. That said, might have been tempted to warp things to avoid some visual confusion.
Good shot would be my final summary.
p.s. And I trust that my words here find you doing well. :o)
