This is a very nice shot! I really love the colors in the sky and the water. The composition is also perfect. I worry, though, that there may be a bot too much exposure on the ice to the right, which subsequently makes the shadows on the left dark enough that a lot of the detail is lost. This is unfortunate because otherwise this is a very good picture. Great post!

I was about to write my comment until I saw that of 'emmalievds'. And that is exactly what I would have said.
There is an exposure problem with the photograph. Too much of highlight and too much of shadows as well.
Otherwise, the good thing that I see in this picture is the composition and framing.

Essentially I agree with the other comments above.
It could have been an awesome upload but instead it's a good upload. Sometimes it's best not to take a shot at all due to the suns angle !! please don't be discouraged as you have real potential. :o)

I think with a little shadow & highlight editing in PS, this very good shot will be very very great shot and everybody will be happy. :)
