Really awesome, Cap'n!!! 10/10 and into my Favorites. (And NOT just because I'm such a Sci-Fi freak, either...wonderful composition, colors, and creativity, that's why!)

This is great! Into my favs - reminds me a bit of the 'city of (in?) the clouds' in Star wars. I'm interested to know if the city is image mapped or texture mapped? Keep up the great work!
oooh! a technical question! I'm not 100% sure of the answer - I played about with the settings. what is the difference between texture mapping and image mapping? I think it is bump-mapped, if that helps.

The little transport unit(?) on the left reminds me of reminds a little of the one in "Dock at night". Perhaps they are related scenes? Excellent image.
Yes indeed, the little pods are straight from Green Intersection. The original pod concept, as you cleverly spotted was first used in Dock at Night , but it has changed a little since that first appearance.

This is really great. Not a new idea in the sci-fi world, of course, but beautifully carried out. I'm assuming those hanging things are for pod storage? If so, how do the passengers disembark - or can the pods self-park? Lots of people seem to be out - maybe they knocked off early.
Nice solution to lack of land - stack the cities. Hope they've got a green energy supply for the pods, though!
I must admit that I wouldn't want to live in one of those buildings. They look so closed - claustrophobic and lightless. Somewhat "soulless" architecture.
