This picture was taken by a good friend of mine, and then edited so it was black and white. He decided to put the kite, and some of the clothes of the man in color, and then cropped away some of the background to make it appear as if the kite was actually larger then the frame. I saw the picture and fell in love with it, and I was wondering what the rest of you thought of this photograph.

I love when elements of the photo go beyond the pic onto the frame. The addition of black and white was an excellent choice for the bavkground.

Your friend did a fine creative work - I think he has the magic touch with photos :) I like the B/W effect with the brightly coloured kite. The water adds movement and force. Beautifully composed and super clarity. A vibrant image - Thanks!
