This was taken on top of Snowdon but this shot was not as good as I could have liked it to be due to clouds constantly surrounding us (clouds were continually blown towards us). Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, and the highest British mountain south of the Scottish Highlands, with an elevation of 1,085 m (3,560 ft) above sea level. Enjoy...

This is a breath-taking shot! I don't see the clouds as taking away, but as adding to the image. I also like the beautiful blue sky. Excellent picture, especially considering you would usually think of this kind of picture being taken from an airplane.

Definitely an airplane feeling. I love the sky and its endless display of beauty, and that this cloud is playing off a mountain peak makes this pic all the more interesting :)PJ

It's perfect just as it is, cloud and all. The "above the clouds" image gives the feeling of freedom from all earthly cares, of exhilaration.

Justin, Obviously, lots of people disagreeded with your analysis of this composition. I love it AS IS and so must a lot of others to earn the high C-index rating. I went to your gallery and downloaded 5 more of yours. If you don't mind, I want to place you on my "friends List" so I don't miss anymore of your postings. Back to this picture: Had that big cloud not been there, your picture would not have packed the punch that it does. The upper astmosphere as portrayed in your composition appears so real, it makes me dizzy. I think it's grrrrrrrrrreat!.

The blue tones in this image are devine. The clouds add more contrast, the pic is well balanced.

I agree with the others the clouds actually add to the drama of the shot i don't think this picture would have been as exciting without them.
