This photo was taken at Picacho Peak State Park in Arizona. Being from the eastern US, this was the first time I have been to places like this. I love the combination of Cacti, traffic, and Newman Peak (thanks rawtsn!). I wonder how many locals even notice stuff like this, or if noticing stuff like this makes me a tourist (I ask the same question about places that are local for me).

I like this image Tony.
Because of this images' the high contrast, it would be even more impressive if you cropped out almost all of the dark area at the bottom and about 25% of the sky.
Try it and see if you like it. This one gets a 9 and goes on my laptops desktop for a week. Keep up the good work.

Nice late afternoon shot while in the shadow of Picacho Peak itself - tricky lighting but details too! The mountain in the pic is called Newman Peak. As a 'local', this is one of my favorite places here, literally right next to I-10 just N of Tucson. (thanks for spelling it correctly, even some 'locals' can't!)

Haha I am a local (somewhat... Picacho's just an hour's+ drive away) and I appreciate it. I do love the beauty the desert here offers, and love it even more when others appreciate it too. Thanks for sharing!!
