I kind of liked this bit of snow caught on a knot sticking out of an aspen tree. Made a nice contrast to the yellow in the background.

It sure makes an interesting DT Chuck and I like the hint of snow on the knot and branches. Very well done and thanks for sending some snow to Texas ;)

This would make a nice Xmas card shot! Really like the contrast between the snow & the yellows of the leaves. Nice capture!

I am enjoying watching the trunk drinking in the moisture that that bit of wet snow is providing it with which make the bark a little darker and makes for an even nicer canvass for that light frosting of snow. Your pics of the aspens and the snows have all been so nice and so all encompassing, it's lovely to see you looking deeper into the small wonders and beauties that are going on around you while your camera takes a breather and gets to rest its eye on things close up. I'm anxious to stop talking here and take this out to see how it looks on the desktop, and I'm sure I'm going to love it. The angles of the small branches and the underlying, unstoppable glow from the golden leaves, even though they blur in deferrence to the subject of this post, still create a soft backdrop for a lovely view...thanks, Chuck :)PJ

Excellent idea. Very creative too. We all have a tendency to try to look for the big picture rather than the smaller things in life. This is really nice. Way ta go.

Picture Purrrfect . A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!! Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!

This is just grand Chuck. The snow melting and leaving a ring of water around it is so pretty and natural. The yellow in the background looks really nice in contrast to the bark of the trees. Very pretty.
