That branch looks like it is so heavy laden with snow it's going to slip off anytime Chuck.Superb close-up and a nice touch also with the trees in the background to give it a splash of color.

Terrific composition, Chuck - I agree about those background trees contrasting nicely with this snow-laden bough. Winter and Fall meet again - good one!
Well, actually I'm glad to see that it was the hearty evergreen that was bearing the brunt of this heavy snow, as I can see that it's a very premature, wet and warm snow that evergreens deal with in the early fall and also in the late spring. I'd be a lot more worried about the bough if the snow happened to be that thick on the aspen branches and leaves in the background.
Sometimes that happens here in my neck of the woods where we'll get caught "between" seasons and the diciduous trees suffer the most as they are accustomed to having things their way and as flexible as they usually are, don't adjust well to unusual weather..must be because they've survived so long with more consistent conditions..anyway...I love this pic, and it's in my faves, and if I had more time, I'd explain to you exactly why..lol.... :)PJ
Excellent Chuck. Just amazing how the weight of the snow brings the branch down perfectly in your capture and the Aspens are still so beautiful. Excellent post my friend and I hope life is easier for you these days. Anita
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
WOW SNOW and THICK SNOW!!!!!! Is this a recent picture? Seems a little early for that much snow. As for the shot, it is great as always. Thanks for sharing
Nice image Chuck and well composed. I'll try and remember why I liked this scene when the snow arrives here ... possibly this weekend. Snow on the bough ... lovely. Snow on the driveway ... not quite so lovely. :o)
