This is White Castle in Monmouthshire, South Wales; I believe that this part dates back to the 13th century. Bit of a drab day when I visited unfortunately.
Cool shot...it looks very, very old. Good thing about the drab day is it helps the subtle colors in the walls come out well. Direct sun would overwhelm them.
Drab, indeed. One of the nice things about a drab day is the diffuse light which lets all the nooks and ledges in the building become visible. When you have a sunny day they're all in shadow. Nice place. I like the way you captured the slope of the tell on which it stands.
I have so been there! That is a really cool place to visit! Everyone should go, and make sure youbring your raincoat. It rains almost everysingle day!! Duh!
Im very fan of castles, it has a lot history to tell..you got a very good framing and perspective, and color well balance. good job!!!
my new one "How about a coffee?"
Then in their trouble they called to the Lord, and He saved them from their distress. He brought them out of their gloom and darkness and broke their chains in pieces. (Psalm 107:13-14)
