I will never take another bath .. ever again. This looks like it could drag down a healthy gazelle on the African plains.

I took this with my little Canon Ixus II on a little baby tripod with my hands shaking.

Woah! I love spiders, but I hate going near the ones with long legs that creep around really quickly. This is a really nice shot, with a lot of detail and you can even see the shadow! Very excellent.

I'm really into goth rock and new wave. My favorite band is The Birthday Massacre. The guy in my avatar is, in fact, a guy. His name is Mana from the band Malice Mizer.

I'm usually pretty thick skinned about these things but this one is especially chilling. I gave it high marks for the detail, and focus. But it's the head on angle and the one out streched arm that send this one over the top. Bravo and bravado!

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

I like to thank everybody for their lovely comments but I'd also like to thank someone who made this all possible, the spider. He had a terrible afternoon, stuck in my bath being chased around by a camera. He has now been released into the wild where he has returned to his normal routine of frightening children and eating cats.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

AHHH!! I hate spiders! They scare the ba-geezus out of me! If I saw this one I would have had a heart attack! Very detailed shot though!

Recently my co-worker had a black widow land on his arm and he flipped out. A few seconds later he opened a drawer and there was an even larger one hiding in there. He caught both of them in a container and threw it in the trash. Very terrifying!

Okay I looove spiders and I have my very own tarantula at home but this guy just looks scurry! It has long bristly legs with hairs on it. It's not cyute and fuzzy like my Bastiaan at all! Nice angle, and there's something about that leg being propped out like it is.. Nice job ^.^

I just found this shot...dear god, what is that THING?! I don't mind spiders; I think they're pretty cool and they eat a lot of other worse insects, but this thing is just plain scary. I'm wondering how big it is. I've caught spiders and kept them for a while just to watch them before I let them go again, but you couldn't PAY me to catch and watch this monster. (It'd probably want to catch ME and watch me for awhile!) Amazing photo...and kudos to you for being brave enough to take the shot.

Aw, I'm glad you didn't smush him and name him spot. It was very kind of you to let him roam free in his natural habitat of children and cats. Awesome shot of him and the tub makes an excellent background. I think it's the same kind as the one I had on my porch. Spiders are fascinating to me but I'd rather not get bit. Thanks for sharing :)
