Hi CSA, at full size this sits on the line between soft and sharp, I prefer things a bit sharper but I don't think this shot is out of focus or anything like that. The flower head is clearly the subject and the background is nicely blurred out so the eye falls naturally where you want it to. I know the colours in the flower are darkish colours but I think the flower would pop more if the background was selected and darkened a bit and then the flower was lifted with a bit of light work with the curves tool to brighten it without losing the colour intensity you've captured so well. The close crop near the top of the flower makes that part of the shot feel cramped to me. With the kind of background you've got in this shot, easy enough to clone in an extra few percent of bg at the top so the flower tip is further from the top edge of the shot. Not easy to get all of such a long flower in good focus out in the open when things are always moving in the breeze. Well done.
