The original is inserted into a stretched version... to keep the two women closest to the camera from becoming too large! Just a nice simple stretch looks nice except for those two! :o) Again... a golden oldie from the past! I used my wife's Canon Powershot SD950 IS. 1920x1440 same ratio from 4000x3000 Stretched to 1920x1080 A click on a link brings you to ImageShack...<- brings you back here! :o)

I like it without the extended frame!

I like the detail on the bridge, not sure about the extended frame. Good color on the bridge.

Nice color and sharpness. I like the idea of the extended shot, but not sure I like the end result. Maybe if the original were embedded directly into the center, with either end extending outward, maybe. Nevertheless, I think this is a great photo.

The placement of the insert (the original) by me is determined by the placement of what needs to be covered. Because the bridge starts from the left and the two women were at the left... this was the only thing with which my mind could come up. I agree that some effect is lost with this placement... normally the extended background protrudes to both sides and the insert is not centered. However, I was more into sharing the technique than the image... though I did both by including links to the image(s) in my description. Thank-you for sharing your opinion(s). :o)
