I drove across town today to see the visiting Monet exhibit at the Philbrook Museum (Tulsa). The museum used to be a private home and has beautiful gardens and pools. It was a hazy day today so the quality wasn't too good. This photo is of the back. There is a bench for Bob, although it does not look comfortable. lol I'm not sure if the image is crooked or it is the perspective...

Beautiful shot and well presented Constance.
The history of the museum and it's original owner was very interesting.
Phillips 66 comes to mind.

Beautiful architecture and gardens, Connie. I can just picture Bob taking a little rest on the bench!

In spit of the hazy weather the image has come out very well Connie. Nice and clear details overall. This is also well composed.

Hey Connie...I 'never' turn down a chance to break in a new bench!..

My camera bag on this arm rest for my head...and a dreamy tranquil snooze to gaze upon this delightful building!

It would have bee a magnificent home, and glad that is has been put to good use!

Thank you for thinking of me for this!

I like this one Connie even though the weather (lighting conditions) were not the best you still managed a good shot. What grabbed my attention is the reflection of the hanging light in the window. I think the horizon line is okay on this also.

A great looking building and gardens. Nice details and colours in the photo. A little perspective correction wouldn't have hurt to level out the building.

Just taking the tour of your gallery, Connie.. nice shot.

I like how you included the bench in the lower left-hand. And the setting and architecture is most inviting and pleasing to the eye. The colours are natural.. and that is a very good good thing.

And.. quite a challenging shot, in terms of the horizontals and vertical lines.

My creative curiosity got the better of me pea brain.. so, and I hope you don't mind.. have a look:

"Philbrook Museum, Tulsa, OK" - Rotated/Cropped .. Highlight/Shadows Adjustment

And again, I employed philcUK's tutorial; Faking the HDR thing... to accomplish deepening contrasts and colours.

I am not sure which image editing program you have, however, if you read further down in the comments on the linked page for Phil's tutorial.. he also included/transposed the steps for Photoshop Elements.

Did I make mention of the vertical/horizontal lines?

I did.. ok, then.

As it turns out.. using just the roof line.. no. Using the verticals.. same.
So, a 'middle perspective ground' of sorts.

And.. some.. some, that is.. Sharpening. Via the High Pass technique, outlined here:

Sharpen Images With The High Pass Filter In Photoshop

The reasons given for this editing/post processing technique is that 'the High Pass filter technique works so well at sharpening images is because any areas in the image which are not an edge are left untouched.'

And in short.. won't contribute to the nasty artifacts that can creep up and overwhelm an image by the degradation of employing 'aggressive' Sharpening via other methods.

... ...

... ...

/\ Forgot to breath there in the flurry of fingers above.

Let me sum things up, by this..

Some creative food for thought ... for a very nice photo. Well-composed, good good colour and good good exposure.

And but, of course.. thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)

Thank you so much! Really. I was actually hoping someone would help me with this particular shot...it was really challenging. I tried to improve the image using PhotoFiltre7 (contrast, sharpen, etc), but you would not want to see how it turned out! So I'm going to take all this information and process it and hopefully be able to edit better in the future! Thanks so much!!
