Until I went to Rome last spring, I never realized just how smack dab in the middle of everything the Colosseum is. It is very difficult to capture on its own, to sort of put it back in its time, its heyday, without capturing much of what it is today. You have done an excellent job of doing just that however. You have to look kind of close to see the "today" in the picture. Great shot!

Wow! I've seen many photos of this building while in school and this one is just as good as any in my architectural history books. Excellent shot.
