Another one from my Roman Visit. This is a very famous statue located in the Vatican City. The statue is of Laocoön and His Sons.It shows the Trojan priest Laocoön and his sons Antiphantes and Thymbraeus being strangled by sea serpents that were sent by the Greek gods as a punishment for disobedience as some stories go.

Yes...it definitely looks like some form of punishment, could not confuse it with contentment. The statue is an interesting one. Great capture.

Excellent photo Paul! I will look out for this next week. It is difficult to capture these statues when they are right and you are trying to avoid glare from the whiteness of the statues!

Good details on the statue. Looks like the lighting was difficult but you did an excellent job capturing this piece of art. Nice job.
