I wanted to share this strange bloom I encountered (at the Conservatory in San Francisco) with all of you.

That is a freaky looking flower- looks almost like a Man-O-War. I don't think that I would want this in my garden at home. But this is wonderful photo of a flower that I have never seen before. Thank you for sharing with us. :)
Cracky - I had to look at this for a while to shape an opinion. I am sure that if I were to give this flower to a girl. . . .well. . .I most probably would not get a thank you kiss! Kinda looks like an Angry Martian thing. Those almost look like Hosta leaves, but the bloom is unusual. Its almost as if the danglers guide the seeds to fall directly below the bloom. Nice shot. Cant say Iv seen one of these before. Please do more.
Wow -- that thing is surreal! It really makes a lovely picture, too; what with the blackish (things?) against the vivid green backdrop. I don't usually care for flower pics, but I'm weirdly partial to this thing. Great shot!
Is there anything more beautiful than a beautiful, beautiful flamingo, flying across in front of a beautiful sunset? And he's carrying a beautiful rose in his beak, and also he's carrying a very beautiful painting with his feet. And also, you're drunk.
