I took a trip to Washington D.C. in March with a student group. We went lots of different places in one week, including tons different memorials. The photo above is the World War 1 memorial, which we were told was a memorial forgotten by many people.

A poignant tribute to these forgotten brave men Asya - they fought a nasty terrifying war and deserve the honor of remembrance. I'm surprised the memorial isn't taken care. This is an attractive view of the memorial, but it carrys a feeling of neglect. Thanks for caring about the old soldiers~

i've been there last August when we were on vacation, i too noticed the neglect and told my husband that it was a shame that the monument isn't being cared for
they built this huge new memorial in the middle of the Mall for WW II... but they forget to keep this one in shape, there was weed in the stones around it.. very sad !
