I love nighttime open-shutter images, you're never really sure what you're going to capture because traffic is unpredictable. A copy of this one is now on my desktop, destined for my wallpaper folder, thanks. Here's something to try: if you spot an emergency vehicle moving at night--an ambulance, fire truck, tow truck, etc.--with it's beacon flashing and you're lucky enough to have your camera and a little time, try an open-shutter photo of it. You'll see the streak of light from the beacon with bright pulses in the line, close together if they're moving slow and further apart if they are putting on some speed. When I was out shooting film in college (a thousand years ago) one night, I came across a tow truck getting ready to haul away a wrecked car. The image I got was a fun surprise.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
I'm glad you like it so much. thanks ;) I also have a photo on which the flashing lights of a police or ambulance vehicle can be seen, maybe I will publish it
