My attempt at web design. The text and stuff doesn't look 100% correct, and my attempt at the "Caedes Spider" is pathetic... I've got another version with a blue Navigation bar (in the left).

I didn't want to wonder away too far from the original Caedes, layout, because it's very efficient. I'll upload the blue Nav bar version as soon as I'm able to.

Well for now this is my favourite in the contest it preserves the traditional look but makes a professional "different-design-feeling".

you took the Macintosh steel gray style, I love it. your Spider is fine! this is very simple but nice.

I had a similar concept of having a sample of images displayed somewhere, how would this work on your page? WOuld it be a random selection, or always display the same images?

I like the simplicity of your design. I think as a photo site, however, there's still too much text remaining on the home page. I'd remove all but the most serious (new) news and replace with a more graphical look.

very nice one. you did well realy like this one you put kinda of a brand new effect on the old design like a new car. if you know what i mean. and the best part about it is my picture holding on at the top :) no not realy but truly a great job

I think this design is a bit too close to the current one to be called totally new. I do however like the changes that you've made. The navigation bar looks pretty good. i'd try to keep it a single row of links lest it get too cluttered looking. The row of images at the top give the site a definite "graphics" feel.
I'd probably do a bit more with the text logo "caedes.net". That font is not very flattering.

I personally like this layout... its appears to be simple and not cluttered with images. It allows the reader to focus on the content/pictures.
