I like this, it reminds me of an old time wax seal. It looks like its floating above the background.

This one is a great peice of work. To me the rose looks like it is painted in blood. When I saw it, the first thing that came to mind is that it would make a wonderful tattoo. I love this one.

This is from the book Kushiels Whip, awesome novel. The tatoo, is created as the main character earns money towards her freedom, once the tatoo is finished or mark as its called in the novel, she has earned her freedom. The Tatoo, is also supposed to signify different whips intertwined, with the rose, to show that pain can give pleasure. Its a very deep novel.

I really like the design and I'd love to see you incorporate it into another piece. It does look like it's floating, which is kind of distracting, but I like the effects on the design very much, I think it's just the background itself for the most part that causes the "floating" look.

Great image. Doesn't look oriental to me, but I suppose it looks celtic due to the winding stem style. Love the colors. I would suggest leaving this baby alone :D It's great as it is. Nice work!

In my browsing I found this impressive image. Love the creativity and the design. The vibrant attention getting red, is perfect. It looks somewhat like it's wax. The red looks just right on the grey background. Great work you've done!

The novel (series) is worth the reading. Kushiel is the main character. I think they are on bok #4 out now. Wonderful design and an excellent representation of it. Kudos!

KJ, your rose reminds me so much of a caduceus.
The rose is symbolic for love and your blood red design, at least to me, represents both the nourishment needed for maintaining love, but also the dangers within.
