Another shot from Corsica (France). This is the town of Bonifacio which is at the southern tip of the island. I love how the town lies right on the edge of the cliff.
Oh my....is this what is meant by "living at the edge"??!! A person better not get up at night and not know their way around..wowzer!! The waters below are just GORGEOUS!...to see the rocks and the beautiful colours around them..its just fantastic. But I cant help but wonder if those are pieces off the big rock where the town sits on? YIKES!!
Beautiful town. One thing I love about caedes is I can travel the world and not leave my desk. This looks like one of the places I want to visit when I win the lottery or have a rich uncle die. Thank you for the photo- it is really beautiful to look at, but I know it does an injustice as to actually being there. Thanks for a taste of the beauty that is still on this earth
Is it just my imagination, or there a couple of tiny little people in/near the water? It looks like one is stooping over at the water's edge, and a smudge on another rock might be a sunbather. How did they get down there?
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
It took a second look at full resolution to understand that there is a point of land between us and the village. Nice capture for a pleasant desktop... I can always dream I'm there, right?
this is a beautiful picture!! i like it very much. i keep finding beautiful places to visit on my trip around the world with my future husband. he's not the shutterbug i am but we are a very romantic couple and love to go places like this!! thanks!
YOWZA! When I really stared...I had to press my back against the wall and ease slowly out of my office to breathe again! I could never ...no matter how beautiful....never-ever live on the edge like this! I'd be terrified it would eventually crumble away and fall!
Aside from that: nice photo! It is beautiful and beautifully captured!
I don't even know how to describe what you have captured here. You managed to be zoomed in enough to get the city details yet still have enough of the water below and cliff to really give us a sense of depth. the colors are fantastic. This is an amazing image. It's just that simple. Great work.
I am glad you didn't tuck this one away. this one will withstand the test of time. I downloaded this one a couple years ago and never got a chance to Thank you...Well THANK YOU! very much for sharing. This is OUTSTANDING! and the title is perfect!
