There's something magical about dragonfly's... perhaps it's the mystical thoughts that they lead you to when you think about story's of dragons of old, or unicorns and the magical stories that go along with them... To me this dragonfly is the epitome of that mystical feeling I get when I see them up close. The colors on this dragonfly are ones I would picture in a fantasy story of such amazing creatures. Well that's what I get when I look at this dragonfly.. perhaps y'all get a different feeling?

I love the way this creature will flit and hover, then dart away. What's magical is getting such a great capture! Great detail in the wings and the two-tone body!

Hello Joel....well, I search all the time for dragonfly photos...one day I will paint one. The detail of the wings will be trickey..but I want to do it on canvas so much..It just MIGHT be THIS ONE..the color is perfect, very unusual, and the way the whole dragonfly is shown, it would be wonderful...

This really is a fantastic picture. The colours are brilliant - I wish we got dragonflys like that where I live. We only get blue or green ones. You were very lucky to catch it in time, as they have a habbit of flying away when you want to get a pic. of them. But I'm glad you managed it, as the outcome is amazing!

tremendous details on this one, it's a breathtaking shot! outstanding! i can't get enough of it :D those details and focus are simply stunning.. its wings look so fragile and the little animal is so gentle.. unfortunately, i've never seen one :( but this one is really special, those colours are perfect. i think it's a girl :D after all, girls love pink :)))
