I really like this picture how it turned out.. the glow of the sun reflecting off this white tree across the flooded river with the storm in the background hovering over the mountains. taken in January after some heaving rain season from the tsunami they said. Enjoy and thanks for looking :)

Very effective shot. The dark clouds in the background make this photo all the more ominous.

Very interesting, look like the other tree is starting to go white also. Nice capture and work. Dwight.

What a awe inspiring photo!! A person can really tell there is or was a storm hovering...you can sense the power of it all between the skies emotions and the way the landscape is...and the tree! wow..it DOES remind me of a ghost tree, there are some like this in the ghost town I visit i Montana...this is a most beautifully done photograph...thank you soooo much for sharing it with all of us...

I love the effect you get when the sky is storm darkened and the light comes in low from some source not included in the shot. Normally you think of a lighter sky than ground, but in these situations it gets reversed, the effect throws you off kilter.

You chose the perfect time on the perfect day for this shot and got a very dramatic photo. How long did it take you to whitewash the tree? :-)

haha.. I wish I could do that in photoshop... that takes way too much patience for me.. honestly took me .3 seconds that's about how long it took me to frame the photo :P Thanks for all your generous comments :)
