Just before my daughter's wedding here, some of the men with cameras decided to walk around the lake, which turned out to be much longer than it looked. I caught this view with the sun low over the two castles and had to capture the moment. It was so peaceful there in the deep woods.

Beautiful. You made good use of the foreground to create a frame for the distant objects. The water is lovely, and the sky is colorful. The only issue I have is that the distance involved here is so great that my eye wants more of the distant objects.

I agree regmar, but I shot a few telephoto shots -- this is slightly wide angle -- and they didn't quite make it. I may post one of the better ones though. Thanx for the comments.

If and when I regain my senses (lost for the amazing beauty of this image of course) I will repeat what Reg said - more of the castles, please ! I will look forward to seeing any more shots from this event and place. 10, in favs and on desk - needless to say ...

well a picture is definitely the sum of its parts and there's lots to see and be happy with here. ultimately something has to give in the distance and if it's the castles so be it. The overall effect is what it's all about and you captured and framed this very well.

Very magical looking place Peter. In my opinion (maybe others), I think this would make an excellent panoramic by cropping top and bottom. That may just be the thing to focus more attention on the the distant beauty of this image. The vast water and sky are bright and so steal the view:-)

Hello Peter...again I see the light upon the castle on the right...then the slight pinkish glow behind the mountains...giving that hazey sott look. The trees with their refledtions on each side of course, is the perfect frame!THis is a very awe inspiring photo...that makes one take a deep breath and just wish any one of had been able to take this photo. Its so good to see you posting such lovely and unique scenes. Oh yes, please send more!..

Perfect. Crystal clear image and the mist gives the shot softness. The composition couldn't be better. More, more, more!

Just had a thought ... that this piece as a series of three would work magnificently together. Two other images on either side of this, slightly different angle and a tad sharper would provide a nice balance to this 'impressionistic' view, that I see present in it.

You certainly captured the placidity of the water and that colour is great with the lighting hues overall. Nice.

Just a thought ... ok, or two.
