oh Peter! this has the most dramatic yet simple feeling! I have always loved simplicity. It speaks in its very own way. I see this creation of yours as the warmth of the sun, then carressed tenderly by cooling breezes, and then there is the major darkness that insists on the violent chaos hovering over this heat. Wishing to devour, yet the fiery sun cannot and will not allow it. I must say, I truly like this art of yours. My favorite is the light whimsical lines crossing over the brightness. This certainly does look very Zen. I like the simplicity of it. The use of the gray colour intensifying as it reaches the corner suggests that this sun may be orbiting another body and everything is working together in harmony. And the one bright splash of a hot colour gives warmth.

To me, those exquisite black lines show the motion of us leaving this particular area. We seem to be going off to the right and at a speed greater than that of the mass in the background and that of the red sun. The sun is pulling our contrails and possibly burning them. It is the cause of them being black.

I also really liked how you did your signature. At first I thought it to be written in the Russian alphabet until I focused in (better) and clearly saw "Peter."

Casechaser...your are observant. what I did was take the 2 Chinese Characters that roughly mean Danger and Opportunity and the combination = Crisis. It's not an exact translation, but a popular one. I used them because I have them hanging in my office and because as you noticed if you look carefully it almost spells my name.
