I like this but I have to say I prefer the mood of the darker version :-)

This one's great Randy, the lighter version really shows off the leaves more and the background is still dark enough to be moody. Good job bud.

Super, Randy! Feels like the view from the perspective of a werewolf lurking in the forest. Eerie! <G> Wen

This is amazing ... I sincerely hope people 'get' this offering of yours.

It is no small feat to have accomplished here what you have visually.

I am hard pressed to say which version I like more. Kind of apples and oranges to me, each has an ambiance that really can't be compared to one another ... either one suits your mood or doesn't.

Yeah ... those maple ... oops, oak ... leaves and branches are incredible.

The only ... only caveat I have ... and it is minor and perhaps more of a difference in artistic takes and creativity ... I would like to have seen a bit more of the moon. I suspect, your portrayal of the moon being elusive, and just hinting through the opening in the leaves was a creative decision. I like it as is, too. Just a thought, that's all.

Really nice work. Really nice. Good luck. :o)

Wow, I like this a lot. The contrast of the red and black in the tree against the smokey background is very dramatic. But as mentioned in the post above, I too would have liked to see more of the moon. Well done! And good luck in the contest :)

That's Bryce? Wow, it looks very realistic. You must have spent many hours rendering this one. Good luck.

Just getting around to commenting on this when the contest is already over! Sorry, about that, but I do like this and appreciate the hard work to create such a fine image. Hope you did well. No results posted yet.

Absolutely gorgeous! If you used any effects, they must be good ones. I like the way you have the moon trying to break through - nice lighting and smoky sky. The red & orange leaves against the black branches couldn't be better! Excellent clarity too. Makes a striking wallpaper. You did a super job Randy! :*)
