My second shot at Yosemite, a slightly more recognisable scene. I think my biggest failing on my entire journey was to not invest in a tripod so that i would not have to suffer some of the hand shake blurring that could have avoided. Once again all comments are very welcome.

Matthew - a tripod would help but to shoot as Ansel did, you have to shoot at first light or last light. Ansel also used a large format camera. This is a good photo but the harsh light of the day made the contrast too soft. A good effort and a lovely shot. Do more please.

Trying to create good pictures, I feel as if I am standing on the edge of Insanity. There was a door. I found myself knocking on the door. The door opened. I was knocking from the inside. Oh Darn!

Very nice work Matthew.. I like the b&w effect, it gives it the old feel which suits it perfectly.. I dont think its too blurry at all infact it gives it a nice soft look... but a tripod is worth getting, you'll find a huge difference in the clarity of the pics..

I too like this how this turned out and the Black and white choice did not hurt it at all. I have been to yosemite years ago and do remember this view very well. Thanks for bringing back my memories. Sandi

I too like how this has turned out. Many times I have been told to use a tripod and didn't. I have two of them. It's been added to my favorites and is now on my desktop.
