A great picture! I too like the light filtering through the trees. The only way i would improve this is by darkening it a little bit to make it look eary. Still a good capture though. A good angle too. Keep up the good work!

Hi Laurel, nice post here!

Next time, see if you can surprise us by showing that road from an unusual position, not on the road itself. Maybe..from an animals point of view.

I love "walking down the road" shots and this one's great! The sunlight, the nice natural framing with the trees and the fact you can't quite see where you'll end up. I can almost hear the birdsong.

I am always drawn to these roads where the trees have formed a "tunnel" passage. Especially in great lighting like this. You hit a winning composition and just the right time of day to take it. I might have sneakily edited out the vehicle (?) and stop sign at the end of the road but some people prefer more realism. I'm more interested in making a beautiful image than capturing exactly what was there, everyone has a different take on that though.

Thank you also for your nice comment on The End of the Innocence. I'm glad you liked the framing and everything, I always hesitate to crop down a nice full-size photo into something more artsy like that so it's nice when it's not a total failure :).

Great capture here!

Nice capture. I really like the shadows within the trees. This is a really great shot.
