Lol I asked my sister what to name this...and this is what she said! So there we go. =) You may have seen a similar flower a couple months ago...I fiddled around with new editing stuff this time and this is what came out! I completely erased all of the background and added a glow to it. Do you like it? I'd love your comments and advice! Thanks... -Laurel

I cannot do a comparison with the original as I did not see it, however it is not an unpleasant image but I am sure that you can improve with more practice. My advice for what it is worth, keep trying and good luck.

Its a good image, the rose with a slight glow on it looks great, i dont however like the fact that the leaves are a bit of a blur, i think that distracts from the image....but nyways, goodwork..;-)

A nice image! i think i would have been tempted to black out a few more of those leaves to really throw the emphasis onto the rose! But keep up the good work!

As a thank you for commenting on "Nonchalance", here I am. :-)

I do not recall ever seeing the original, but I can kinda get a feel for what it was like. Some things I like about this are the softness, the color contrast, and the weird lighting. It seems a bit over-exposed and a bit out-of-focus, yet it seems to fit at the same time. Just a recommendation for next time: try flipping the image around just to see how it fares mirrored. You would be amazed at how much both the purpose and the emotion of the image can flip as well. I don't know if this one would be such a huge deal, but I have an inkling...

What a classy picture this is. I absolutely love the red against the black background. This is a really great image.
