I started out with a pretty bad photo...there was a twig over one of the flower petals, it was too dark, and the background was really ugly. So, I got rid of the twig, made it lighter, and edited out the background! =) Comments would be greatly appreciated...I'm new at this editing stuff. Thanks! -Laurel

I had forgotten my new plan of thanking people by returning the favor of a comment until I received one from you on Sandpiper. So... thank you :). I'm glad you liked it.

I am curious to know whether you cropped out the twig in this photo or edited out (via the cloning tool, etc). Either way you did a great job on the edges for the background. I have done some fun projects with clone editing but I CANNOT tell where you removed a twig unless it was just over the edge and got cropped out. Great photo as well, I'm a big fan of black and white, sometimes especially when it's not actually pure black and white (i.e. a color photo containing basically only black and white such as this one). Nice work~

You seem to have done a fine job with the editing of this Laurel, it is a good image of a white flower against a black background with a touch of another colour in the centre, yes, it's great. Well done.

Good job editing this iamge Laurel. I am envious :)...I like the sosft focus the flower has. Normalley I am not a big fan of soft focus, but in this case, the white is softer against your background and it looks swell. Makes a cool desktop too! Thanks :)
