I was thinking the other day...and realized a little naively that life isn't filled with perfect red roses and long walks on the beach. Sure, those moments might happen, but all the other moments arn't like that at all. I was a little bored, so I put together this...thing. Lol. The tire treads in the background are for global warming. The flag isn't to show my patriotic-ness...in fact that might be the opposite. I don't know. A little food for thought.

Very deep and heartfelt...I should think that everyone would be able to relate to this in some way, connected to certain events in our lives...I know that I can. An excellent piece of art, beautifully presented...thanks for sharing your thoughts..

I like how these thoughts you have written seem to be flowing from your mind in this nicely presented, meaningful manip.

Well, I'm glad to see that your boredom inspired you to be creative. It's good to see that you are expressing your emotions and thoughts artistically even if you aren't sure what the associations might be. Well done.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Laurel, I've been hanging on to this in my "friends" list since you posted it because I wanted to be sure to send you a comment. I really like this because it is representative of how you're feeling and I get that loud and clear. I also like this a lot because you mentioned the flag wasn't necessarily a symbol of your patriotism. It's tough times out there right now and we're in the midst of it - this is a perfect way to show that. It's wonderful.... Mary

What I see is beauty and wonder in America's early years. The joy and family and love in the left.
Then, on the right, I see the socialism and big government and false fear brought on by environmental fables and a more global and less national world view.
America is dying. But then, the flag is still flying. And there are those of us who will fight to keep it that way.
