The lake, which is the fourth of Latium volcanic basin by extension, is, albeit slightly as deep ever. With its 170 meters depth is on top of of the list in fact before that of Lake of Bracciano. Also known as Lake of Castel Gandolfo, the largest of lakes of the Alban Hills, is originated from the two volcanic craters as evidenced by its elliptical shape.
