It is a great people post and the postwork is outstanding. I think I would have removed the padlock to make it appear even older, but that is just a small thing. Still as masterpiece as Sea stated.

Ed - SImilar to the earlier post, I assume this was created by your wife? A great scene, allowing the viewer to imagine what or who the woman is waiting for, and what she may be thinking. Superb work here! Thad

A very eloquent post. The black and white fading away at the edges really enhances the mood. Well done!

Beautiful old image well presented. This raises a few questions : Is she waiting for somebody or just for the door to be opened. Why is the bench seat bending so much - will it break? etc. :0)

This is just magnificent my friend! Did your wife take this too?
How in the world do you get this effect on a photo? It's just beautifully done. I agree about the padlock tho. Altho in a way it tells a story of its own, it just looks new, while the rest of the things in the photo look old. This photo has so very much feeling. The anticipation of the womans face as she looks down the road, and the slight smile.
Also the kind way she is holding her hands with her purse.
Just wonderful posting Ed..Verena
