Good morning Ed
There is something about the old-world architecture. Despite the utility needed for defense, they still found ways to make it “homey”. Could almost imagine living there :)
Good capture of the stonework, and I like the use of depth of field so that everything is in focus. The pots and flowers give that needed splash of colour, while the balance between the foreground colour-tones and the colour-tones of the interior courtyard emphasise that “home” feel. Good story telling via imagery.

I am running out of adjectives to describe your posts EDV. The FDR, coupled with you eye for comosition, has brought you fame. Surely fortune is just around the corner.
It is fun to look through the arch and suddenly realize that people lived here, hung up their laundry here, washed the stones and the steps, minded the children who played here.
I'm not normally known to download vertical images, since computer screens nowadays are horizontal, but this beauty is an exception. I'm dropping it into my favs and downloading a copy to place in a black field to create a screen ratio. When I first looked at it, Edoardo, an image from M.C. Escher came to mind. This photo of yours looks like the street view of this "Up and Down" illustration of his. As though he had seen your photo and it drew him in through the arc to create his version. Excellent photo, Ed. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Dearest Ed,
Your images are getting better than excellent - very soon nobody will be able to comment on them with some sense.
This one is all so charming - like a scene from a beautiful dream .....
