It's hard to believe this is a barn. Also looks like a villa that might need a bit of fixing. Very lovely post!

Ed - The doors on this barn are quite ornate, adding to the wonderful textures and colors in this photo. I like the peek to the distant mountains on the left. Wonderful post-photo work! Thad

I see little bits of art everywhere...and on a utilitarian structure like a barn. Love of beauty must be part of Italy's general inheritance. Nice textural emphasizing again. I wonder...was the upper story a living area perhaps? Maybe this was originally an old-fashioned carriage house...where the man who managed the horses and carriage(s) lived with his family.

Great capture. The barn must be that structure on the left. Nice texture in the stonework.

Gosh it's hard to believe something this nice is a barn. I wish that was our barn when we were growing up on the farm.

That is one beautiful old barn Ed. They are not made of stone around here so this is unusual to me. Great tones and textures in this one. Faved.

A solidly built barn which to us does not look like barn at all. Nice capture with good clarity and colours.

Had the intention to say: "Another perfect subject for an impressionistic painter", but realize however that your image is almost an imressionistic painting itself, Ed!

If that is a barn, I want to reincarnated as a stud horse. Even if that isn't a barn I will go the horse route.
Such great textures. I think I have just the name for your style. Stucconistic. Beautiful work EDV.

I'd love to live there next to it. As you know, I love the arches. And those pretty wooden doors and the little balcony, along with the view in the background. Wow
