Excellent capture ... the vertical work so well not only giving focus to the stone bridge, but the those clouds & distant landscape. Well done Ed ... saved.
This is a very nice composition with the potential to really be terrific. I would have scored it much higher in the voting booth if it had not been subjected to an HDR process. I would have liked to have seen it as it was taken.
This invokes an invitation to explore the outside with its nice arch and the path and at the same time stops you from making the move with stunning yet ominous clouds. I agree with gr8fulted, little less HDR on the vegetation and the clouds would make the picture more comfortable (for me). Nonetheless, the fact that it made me stop to analyze means it is a great upload :)
Hello Edoardo...as you know I love arches so very much, and this is very beautiful. Such a natural photo. The way the pathway leads my eye into the distance and up to that wonderful dramatic sky just feels so good. I do wonder what caused that purple line to happen. But even with that, this is so very beautiful. I hope you are doing alright. I miss seeing you here. I know you have a health problem going on, and I sure hope you are resting and drinking lots of good soothing herb tea. Many good wishes for the new year.Verena
Hello Ed....Going by the above comments this is a very popular picture and I can see why....I like the way you have framed the landscape with the archway....Is the archway part of a railway bridge?.....Well done....All the best to you Ed..........Mick.
