Ed - Beautiful architecture - details for the eye to feast upon. Is that a sundial clock at the top of the entry columns and pediment? On my screen, the upper left portion of the tower appears to be a bit washed out. But, with so much to see, it took a while to get there. Thad

I like how the entire facade is monochromatic, with that strong sky above. Then, looking down low, there's an unexpected splash of color brought in by the shields. I'm glad you didn't try to emphasize them at all, letting them sneak up on the viewer. As for the burn of direct sunlight, I've never found a more difficult challenge in photography, so I just don't let it bother me much.
