Very impressive and beautiful. Agree with the above comment of Andreea, as I feel a certain tension as well.

Ed - There is no way up or down from this tower built against the side of the cliff. A most interesting piece of history captured magnificently in this photo. Magnificent post-photo work on this. Thad

That's a long way up there! Do you know what the guard tower was used for? What a great shot

It would be interesting to see a shot from this guard tower EDV. Is there a cave behind it? Wonderful and unusual shot.

Another fave my friend. Who ever ordered this one built was a genius. Great details in the cliffs and plant life.

Very unusual and very interesting, Ed. Clear details and a good composition. I suppose there is a path going up there which we cannot see from below.

Hey Ed
What a cool looking tower! I would feel pretty safe up there against attack. Seems very hard to get to. Nice effects!

Good Grief, how ever did the guards get there? I think I might see a path near the lower arrow slit but I'm not sure. Also, why no more arrow slits, I wonder. I do see the tramline but I don't think that was used when the tower was built. I also see fencing on the crest...perhaps they got in and out via rope from the top. Intriguing picture.

I think the entrance is at the bottom of the tower. I can see a small window on the far right side near the bottom so there must be more on the side we can't see. An intriguing shot, Ed. It's not always about what you can see but what you can't see is sometimes more stimulating to the brain and imagination.
