I certainly do enjoy it, Ed. Such fascinating detail on the stonework, and the HDR makes the door look like it's burnished copper.

Ed - The shot is excellent. The deep color and tone of the paneled doors are quite appealing. The band of cut stone, with each block a different design, almost looks like pieces salved from an older building that may have been on this location. Wonderful textures. Thad

I can't help but wonder why they had such large doorways in their day. We buy more and have bigger objects and build smaller doorways. Doesn't make sense.

If you had stood just a few more inches to the left, Ed, it would have been perfectly centered, avoiding that slightly slanted feel I get from it. Nonetheless, it's a great capture of a piece of antiquity. I particularly like the variety of textures in the stonework, at first appearing symmetrical but , upon closer inspection, more haphazard than one would expect. Lots to look at in this image.
